All print orders are final and non-refundable. BE PREPARED! It is important that you be prepared for your shoot. Hair, makeup, and wardrobe is to be ready before the shoot start time. Please focus scheduling your shoot on a day you can take your time and pamper yourself while preparing for your shoot. This is so that you can be as relaxed as possible for you portrait... in other words, coming to your portrait after a stressful day at work or an argument with your partner is not a good idea. Your face has hundreds of tiny little muscles, and whether they are tense or relaxed makes all the difference in how your portrait turns out. Everyone gets nervous before a portrait. Remember, it is just a camera! Smile, have fun, let your personality shine through...you'll be happy you did! Families...please, dress naturally. You wouldn't go out dressed alike, why do it for you photographs? It's unnatural! Instead, choose a theme and dress individually based on that theme. For example, wearing sweaters and jeans...each person can choose their own sweater color and style and add a scarf or hat to add flavor. If you aren't sure, ASK! Poor outfit choices can be very distracting in your photos. Wearing your favorite clothing is a good start...solid colors can help bring the focus to your face and background choice. Bold patterns can either make or break a portrait, choose wisely. Choose your wardrobe with care...it can help to take a few shots with your point and shoot camera at home to inspect your wardrobe choices. Wardrobe changes are permitted keeping in mind the time limit of the shoot. Be on time for your appointment to ensure you receive all booked shooting time. Multiple locations will incur a travel fee. Keep in mind the time limit of the shoot. Bring any props you wish to use to bring out your personality in your portrait (your favorite chair, costume clothing, etc.). Great ideas for seasonal photos include bringing pumpkins and raking a big pile of leaves for Autumn photos, colorful scarves and hats for Winter photos, pushing family members about in wheelbarrows, etc. BE CREATIVE. The more creative and unique, the more likely it is to be an amazing photo. Props are available from your photographer, please inquire when scheduling your session. Plan to get close! Family portraits are at their best with genuine, heart-felt physical contact. Plan on hugs, holding hands, etc. Plan to have fun! The more laughter we can create together, the better your portraits will turn out. Should you need to reschedule your appointment with Marty, please do so at least 7 days in advance (1 month for events). With the 7 days notice, Marty will be happy to reschedule your shoot, but just this once. Cancellations that with less than the minimum notice, cancellations that do not reschedule, and second-time cancellations will forfeit any deposit fee therefore requiring a new deposit prior to scheduling a new shoot. Keep in mind that Marty's schedule fills quickly and cancellations may find a month or longer wait for rescheduling a shoot. Weather has the final word on shoots as Marty uses only available natural light. Low light does not render sharp photographs and photography equipment cannot be exposed to moisture or severe temperatures. It is a good idea to plan an indoor location or a "rain date" in case of weather issues. Weather cancellations will be made at Marty's discretion and rescheduled at no additional charge at the earliest available appointment time. Print orders are final and cannot be cancelled or altered for any reason. I N V E S T M E N T Contact Marty for pricing details. S A M P L E S E T S & T H E M E S Creativity is encouraged!
